Yes, another old timer (58) who’s been round the block too many times and wants to have a platform to pontificate from?

Well maybe. There were times when I thought that about some of the people who helped shape me and, in many cases, I was too dumb to recognise that what they had to say had value.

Later in life I learned lessons the hard way, and from the distant corners of my memory came snippets of wisdom that I had, at the time, cast aside. So I’m going to pass on my thoughts regardless in the way that those folks kindly did for me.

What the heck? It pleases me to write, and the discipline of turning in 600 words every Monday morning is something to keep me going. Hopefully I won’t get to take myself too seriously and, if you think that I am, please feel free to leave a comment or write in and tell me.

Whatever you do, please vote so that I get a feel for what people are enjoying, and my posts now have buttons for Twitter and other sites if you want to share my thoughts with your own followers.

I might still punctuate the Monday Musings with other thoughts as and when they arise,  but will try to keep this blog just for the weekly column. Along the way I’ll add other blogs and sites that I think might be of interest in the links section.
